This page will
discuss the best way to continue to keep your
pages ranking high or to move others higher.
If you have chosen to maintain your own site
after we designed or optimized the pages, you will need
some tools to help along the way. We
don't expect you to go out and pay hundreds of dollars
for software, so we'll provide some links to some
free services that can do the job for
you. Most of them are located right here on this site or
one of our partner sites.
We all know that the engines and the competition for the
keywords that you want can change without notice,
so it is imperative that you
monitor them on a regular basis.
The pages we create
for you are based on your current competition
in the engines for the keywords that you targeted in
your pages. If the engines don't make any specific
changes, all you have to do is keep them updated by
resubmitting
them on a regular basis.
Don't over do it!!
Look for your page first in any specific engine. If it
is still there, don't submit again unless you
have made changes that you want the engine to
record.
(Note:
To find out who your competitors are for any of your
keywords, just go to any engine that you wish to rank
well on and enter one of your keywords
to search. All of the sites that appear in their listing
are competing for the same keyword you are.
Sometimes there are millions.)
Submit your site to 40 engines that
will give you 85 percent of your website traffic. Be
sure to submit to the Yahoo Directory as well. They
don't allow automated submissions.

Submitting your home
page URL alone isn't enough. This will work fine for
spider engines but even those engines will only spider a
few levels deep.
You have to "deep
submit" your site. Deep submit is nothing more
than submitting each and every page of your site. If you
have 100 pages in your site, then you must use the above
free, utility 100 times to submit all of them.
(Note: NEVER submit more than 1 URL per day. You
could get yourself banned for spamming.) If
you're too busy,
we could submit them to 2,500+
sites for you.
If your budget allows, you should submit your
site to the engines that require a payment.
SubmitSystems.com
has several packages you can choose from.
Once you've submitted
your site, give it some time to get listed.
It takes 24 to 48 hours for the paid sites and four days
for some engines, a couple of weeks for others, but some
could take up to six months. Then visit our CheckIt page
at
http://www.FreeBlast.com/cgi-bin/urlranker/urlranker.cgi
Enter one of your
keywords found in your Meta Tags and our program will
list your site if it's found in the top 50. Repeat the
process for each keyword or phrase you're interested in
finding.
If you'd rather check all your keywords at one time and
receive a detailed report, we could do it for you at
http://www.MonitorTool.com/
Keep track of
your rank and then move on to the next page or
set of keywords. If your page rank is still in the top
20 of at least one of those engines, I wouldn't make any
changes. If it has dropped out, you will have to make
adjustments.
Again, we don't expect you to spend hundreds of
dollars on automated software, so you may have
to analyze your competition manually.
After searching one of the engines for
one of your keywords, pick out one of
the top 5 listings that best competes with your
site.
Make note of the keyword count, especially the
keywords you're targeting. The best thing for you to do,
until you obtain more experience, is to average
all the pages out and then match the scores.
Don't expect to get a
better rank if you add more keywords than them. In most
cases, you'll drop down lower or get your site
IP banned.
Always do a quick
review to make sure you're not using too many keywords
or repeating them more than twice. Use this as a guide.
Sometimes you do need more content and/or keywords
depending on your competition. What Web marketing tool do we whole-heartedly recommend
to our clients? There's no question it's WebPosition
Gold. Unlike other products out there, this amazing tool
really does help you achieve top rankings on the search engines!
This free
download will help you diagnose your
competitors, submit your site,
and check all your keyword ranks at the same
time. This is the program we use exclusively at
Search Engine Guy to report our client stats.
Although it takes much more experience to get good ranks
than using their Page Critic, it will
give you a good start and learning experience.
Once you've made the changes to your pages,
submit them all again. Don't exceed more than
1 URL per day per engine to avoid
getting banned for spamming.
All in all, it should only take you about 20 to 30 hours
a month to look after 20 to 30 pages. (About an
hour per page per month)
If you decide it's too much for you to handle, you can
always contract us to do it for you.

You should also
submit your site to our PPC search engine.
We support unlimited keyword entries for targeted
traffic.
